York University Libraries Celebrate the Addition of our 2.5 Millionth Volume

In late September, York University Libraries will be celebrating the addition of the 2.5 millionth volume to our collection! To put this in perspective: over a 43 year period - from 1961, when York began building a library collection, to the present, we have added an average of 58,140 volumes a year.

We are pleased to announce that the title receiving the honour of being our 2.5 millionth volume is Changing Canada: Political Economy as Transformation (McGill-Queen's University Press, 2003). It is co-edited by Leah Vosko from the Atkinson Faculty of Liberal and Professional Studies and Wallace Clement, Carleton University, and includes contributions by several York faculty members.

Check http://www.library.yorku.ca/Biblio/2.5/2.5.htm for more about our 2.5 millionth volume!
