New and Improved Current Students Website Integrates Services for Students

The Current Students website has been completely reorganized to provide one-stop shopping for many of the services students will need to use while enrolled at York.

Reorganized Information and Services

Several new service applications and various web-based student "self service" applications are now accessible from one integrated web location. In addition, students were asked what services they used most often, and the website design and structure reflects their feedback.
Students use their Passport York login and password to sign in to many of the online services, and it is envisaged that over time, a student's Passport York login will be used as their single sign in for all web based student services.

Current Students main page

Here's an overview of some of the most frequently used services available in each of the main sections on the Current Students website.

Courses and Enrolment
Current students may add and drop courses, view course descriptions, degree and program requirements, check lecture schedules and important sessional dates - all online. They may also review course fees and refund tables, or find out when their exams are taking place - and the list continues.

My Student Records
Enrolled students may view their grades and order transcripts, change programs, transfer to another York faculty or a different degree, or apply to a certificate program. They can also view their financial records, update or change their personal information - and much more.

Money Matters
Student financial information including course fees, refunds, checking their student account online, and available financial assistance. There are also useful links for international students, housing and meal plan information - and even more.

Academic Support
Academic support services students use most frequently, such as academic advising, writing support, library services, information on the colleges and applicable policies.

Student Life
Information on many aspects of student life at York: sport and recreation facilities and events, student clubs and organizations, housing and residence, jobs, eating and shopping on campus, to name a few.

Campus Services
Campus services for students - links to public transportation schedules, parking information, computing, telephone and TV service, security services and student housing - and many others.

Other Improvements

The following links are available on the left side of each main section in the Current Students website.

My Online Services my online services
Many services are now accessible online for current students. Students can choose the My Online Services link to find - on one page - the most frequently used services in each major category:

  • Courses and Enrolment
  • My Student Records
  • Money Matters
  • Academic Support
  • Student Life
  • Campus Services
  • Bookstore
  • Housing

Bulletins
The Bulletins box on each page displays late-breaking or important news related to each major category.

Search
A Google Search box is available to search the York website (the default) or the rest of the Internet.

Faculty websites
Students can link to each of the Faculty websites by moving their mouse over the boxes.

Buttons
Graphic buttons appear on each main section to highlight major and/or frequently used services in that section:

Academic Advising Enrol Online
Online Grade Reports Download Printable Forms

Enhancements planned for the Current Students website include more online forms (such as application to graduate, requests to change majors, reactivations) and requests (to take a course on a letter of permission, diploma replacement, verification of enrolment, etc.).

And now that you've taken a quick tour, please encourage your students to use the Current Students website - they'll be able to do more online instead of waiting in line.
