EReserves - Electronic Reserves for Journal Articles

The Libraries make special provision for assigned readings that are expected to be in heavy demand. When requested by an instructor, material is placed on course reserve, i.e., short-term loan. If there are course readings that are available in electronic journals, the Libraries can place the electronic version on eReserves to ensure 24 hour a day, multi-user access from any location for students with a valid library card and PIN. This is preferable to placing photocopies on reserve for individual use, since students can only access items on reserve when the Libraries are open.

If you have journal articles that you are putting on Reserve, please check the journal title in the eReserves QuickSearch box on the right side of the library homepage (http://www.library.yorku.ca). If we have the title and the date that you need, please request that the item be placed on electronic reserve. You can fill out an online Reserve request for everything that you want to place on Reserve. Instructions for placing items on Reserve in each library are at http://www.library.yorku.ca/BorrowRenew/PlaceItemsOnReserve.htm.
