Reminder: First Class to be discontinued in Fall 2005

In the last issue of News U Can Use, we noted that the First Class web-based course management system will be shut down in Fall 2005, so just in case you missed it - this is your reminder.

WebCT, York's centrally supported web based course management system, is available now for course development. So if you are still using First Class you may wish to speak with the staff at the Faculty Support Centre (FSC) at ext. 55800 or email faculty@yorku.ca during the next few months about moving to WebCT. The FSC staff can help you move your existing First Class courses over to the WebCT platform, or they will help you to design new formats in Web CT for your course content as needed.
