Reminders
eReserves and Online Reserve Requests
The Libraries make special provision for assigned
readings expected to be in heavy demand. Instructors can request
that material be placed on course reserve (short-term loan).
If course readings are available in electronic journals, the
Libraries can place the electronic version on eReserves to
ensure 24 hour a day, multi-user access from any location
for all students with a valid library card and PIN.
You can fill out an online Reserve Request for
any item that you wish to place on reserve. Instructions for
placing items on reserve in each library are at http://www.library.yorku.ca/BorrowRenew/PlaceItemsOnReserve.htm.
Library and Computing Services Student
Newsletter
Each fall the Libraries and Computing and Network
Services produces a newsletter for students - @YorkU.
More than just news, it's really a survival guide packed with
important practical advice for making the most of York's library
and computing resources and services. We encourage you to
bring it to the attention of all your students: their reading
it could make the difference between frustration and success.
You, too, might want to take a look as many library and computing
services will be useful in supporting your own research and
teaching.
Liaison Librarians
Who is Your Liaison Librarian, and What Could
We Do for You?
There have been a number of changes to liaison
librarian assignments over the last year as we try to ensure
that each department (or, in some cases, faculties and programs)
has a librarian whom faculty members and graduate students
can contact for assistance with any library matters.
We encourage you to review the current liaison
librarians list and introduce yourself to your liaison
librarian. Find out what we can do for you!
