Printing, Scanning and Copying in the Libraries

Printing

You can print from any library computer - use your York University Libraries print/copy card (available from vending machines in each library). Send print jobs from the library catalogue, periodical databases, electronic journals, web sites, and so on, by following the instructions on the screen.

Print jobs sent may be picked up at the print release workstations located in each library. Charges for printing are 0.09 per page for black and white printing, 0.25 per page for colour. Colour printing is available in Bronfman, Steacie and Frost libraries, and in Scott Library near the exit desk.

Scanning

Free scanning is now available in all York Libraries. In Scott Library, scanners are located in the Map Library and the Microtext area (both on the first floor). You will need your Acadlabs account to use the scanners. And of course, please ensure that the items you scan are in conformance with copyright provisions.

Photocopying

Photocopiers are located in each of the libraries. All photocopiers use the Libraries print/copy cards which may be purchased from the vending machines on the second floor of the Scott Library, in the copy centre on the main floor and from the vending machines in the other libraries.

And... please respect copyright! For information on what can be photocopied legally, see the Access Copyright Agreement. Direct phone lines are located in the Scott Library on each floor near the photocopiers to report equipment breakdowns.
