Steacie Library Renovations Well Underway

Fall 2003

The renovations to the Steacie Science and Engineering Library are proceeding slowly but surely. Between August and November, 2003, former offices in the Steacie basement were opened up to accept compact shelving for periodicals, and a library instruction room is being prepared. A comparison of "in progress" work with the finished area is just a click away!

Spring 2004

As of this spring, the first floor is awaiting upgrades to the lighting and new carpeting. Eventually this area will house the current periodicals with new wired tables for computer access and comfortable lounge seating and 40 workstations. Most of the other periodicals have been moved to the renovated basement area. Click for a look at the progress of renovations.
