To Access Library Computers, Set Up Your Acadlabs Account Today!

If you haven't done so already, please be sure to initiate your Acadlabs account before your spring research visits to York's libraries. This will allow you to log on to any of the library computers. Last fall, the Libraries instituted the need to authenticate to use most of the computers in each library as a means of increasing computing security.

To initiate your Acadlabs account, simply log into Manage My Services (at http://www.cns.yorku.ca/computing/accounts/index.html) with your Passport York account. If you don’t have a Passport York account, ask your Computing Coordinator or department Administrative Assistant to help you arrange this.

Why do I need an Acadlabs account?

If you do not have an Acadlabs account when you come to the Libraries, you may be limited either to using one of the few Catalogue Express computers to look up a call number, or to using one of the very few Open Access computers if you need to do anything more than check the catalogue. If you have an Acadlabs account, you can use any library computer.

For more information about access to computers in the Libraries, please see: http://www.library.yorku.ca/ccm/FacilitiesAndEquipment/AcadlabsNotice.en?g11n.en
