Scott Library Virtual Tour
There are numerous computer workstations located throughout the library with the majority being found near the Reference Desk on the second floor. In addition to providing access to the library catalogue, electronic resources and the Internet, selected workstations also have Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint programs available.
There are two Internet print stations located on this floor. Print jobs from any workstation in the library may be picked up here using your photocopy card. Laptop users cannot send printjobs to the print stations.
Laptop users can access the Internet via YorkNet at over 70 locations in the second floor Reading Room and at several carrels on the 4th and 5th floor balconies. Also, properly configured laptops can access the Internet via AirYork from anywhere on the second floor, as well as from the balconies on the third, fourth and fifth floors.
Workstations are intended for the support of learning, teaching and research. There are 28 computers located just outside the entrance to Scott that are expressly for e-mail use.
