This web page provides information on how to access the online databases that will assist you in doing research for your course assignments and it also provides links to Academic Integrity tutorials and guides to assist you in citing the resources you are using in your research.
Passport York
Your personal Passport York account gives you access to the York University Libraries online resources. In order to access these resources you must login to the York University EZProxy server. Go to http://www.library.yorku.ca and from the drop down menu on the upper right hand side of the screen select eResources from home

You will be prompted for your Passport York ID and PIN. You can then return to the York University Libraries homepage http://library.yorku.ca and type the name of the electronic journal or database you wish to access into the Find York Library resources search box (see above).
The following are selected databases to assist you in finding information for your use in completing your assignments.
If you are searching for company and industry Information choose from either Mergent or MarketLine.
Mergent – Contains information on public companies worldwide but industry information is limited to North America. This is the recommended database for company information. Company history, competitors and financials are detailed and 15 years of annual and quarterly data is available.
MarketLine – Provides information on public companies worldwide although not as detailed as is available in Mergent. Has other features however such as SWOT analysis. Industry information is global in scope and individual reports are available by industry for selected countries.
If you are searching for academic, professional, trade, popular or news articles on business topics choose Business Source Premier.
Business Source Premier – When your search results are displayed, use the links on the left hand side of the screen to limit to academic, trade etc publications.

If you are searching for Canadian public company financials use SEDAR
SEDAR , is a publicly available database which provides access to full-text Canadian public securities filings. Available via the Internet
