Cataloguing DVDs

As mentioned on Catalogablog Online Audiovisual Catalogers, Inc. have updated their guidelines for cataloguing DVDs, “Guide to Cataloging DVD and Blu-ray Discs Using AACR2r and MARC 21, 2008 Update Draft“.

The update incorporates rule changes and interpretations that resulted from the 2004 Amendments for Chapters 7 and 9 of Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2) and expands the discussion of formats to include DVD-Audio, Blu-ray, and DualDiscs. The information and cataloging examples presented should help clarify principles and rules used in cataloging various types of DVD formats.

Carolyn Walden is interested in any comments or suggestions on the draft you might have.
