TO CREATE A NEW MARC HOLDINGS RECORD

• Page down to the bottom of the screen
• Click on the box beside the "list of holdings records"

• Click on AFTER on the button bar
• A new template appears

• Fill in the 852 field: |bLIBRARY|cLOCATION (library is always YORK), location must be one of the locations from the policy table
• Fill in the 866 field: use the indicators "blank, 1" then key in the holdings, use capital "V" etc.
• Click on GO or Press ENTER
• System responds "record updated"

Press F2 to make certain that the information is correct.

Create a new MARC Holdings Record for a new location or Copy

To create a holdings record for a new location or another copy

• Click on box beside the last location
• Click on AFTER on the button bar

• A new template appears, to be filled in for the new location

• Fill in required fields
• Click on GO or press ENTER
• System responds "record updated"

ToView a MARC holdings record:

• Page down to the bottom of the screen
• Click on the box beside the holdings record that you want to see
• Click on EDIT on the button bar
• The system responds by displaying the holdings record

To Edit a MARC holdings record:

• Page down to the bottom of the screen
• Click on the box beside the holdings record you want to see
• Click on EDIT on the button bar
• The system responds by displaying the holdings record
• Position the cursor, and input the correction

If a title has multiple holdings records that need to be updated, only one at a time can be done. After updating the record worked on, click on the EDIT ITEM icon and repeat the steps above

To Delete a MARC holdings record:

• Page down to the bottom of the screen
• Click on the box beside the record to be removed
• Click on DELETE on the button bar
• Go back to the bottom of the record
• A message displays Do you really want to remove this holdings record?
• Click on the box
