Springer e-books

We have now added over 592 electronic links to monograph titles in the following series published by Springer-Verlag which we receive from Yankee Books: Lecture notes in computer science; Lecture notes in control and information sciences, Lecture notes in physics, Lecture notes in mathematics, and Springer tracts in modern physics.

Multivolume Clean-up Project:

Mary Slinn and Linda Smith corrected 11 titles and 120 volumes.

COMPUTING

The rest of the new workstations for Bibliographic Services staff arrived this month and were installed by LCS staff. The process went very well! Thank you to LCS staff for the smooth roll out and also to C. Ohlers in Bibliographic Services for doing the local "tweaking" on each new machine.

H. Fraser met with D. Fenwick to discuss specifications for loading the Kluwer ejournal records.

H. Fraser met with SCAS staff to review the format of the MARC records being generated for Fonds records

Elizabeth Read from Queen's University visited with H. Fraser and N. Hall to ask about how we restructured our technical services workflow. Due to several retirements, Queen's is currently reviewing their overall technical services operation.
