STAFF
Barbara Lowens and Mary Slinn participated in the "Training Needs Analysis Focus Group" held by Human Resources on August 2.
Hasan Zia joined the department on a part time basis starting August 27th. Hasan is with us each morning to provide administrative support while Rita Carcasole is away.
OTHER
Doug Adams, Linda Gamble, Heather Fraser, Nancy Hall and Linda Smith met to discuss plans for staff training in SmartPort in Bibliographic Services and Monograph Acquisitions. Doug, Linda G. and Linda S. will be working with the draft documentation to prepare the training documentation which will be required.
Using the list of subject headings approved for use in the eresources database, Bibliographic Services worked with Doug Fenwick of LCS to assign headings to approximately 5900 electronic journals.
