CATALOGUE ENHANCEMENT

Multivolume Clean-up Project:

Linda Gamble and Linda Smith corrected 18 titles and 104 volumes.

Springer E-Books

We have begun the project to add the electronic link to our monograph titles in the following series published by Springer-Verlag which we receive from Yankee Books: Lecture notes in computer science; Lecture notes in control and information sciences, Lecture notes in physics and Springer tracts in modern physics. To date, a total of 72 links have been made. Currently we are devising a plan to coordinate adding the link with the loading the of the MARC records we receive from Yankee.

CIHM

Doug Fenwick recompiled his program for loading CIHM records. The newly compiled program corrects various coding errors found in previous CIHM files. The recompiled program also identifies new and updated records in the file and splits the records accordingly. Using the recompiled program 189 MARC records for a new shipment of fiche for CIHM annuals and 922 MARC records for a new shipment of fiche for CIHM monographs were loaded into Yorkline. We are also in the process of gradually loading 8000 records for the 2001 shipment of fiche. Doug Fenwick broke this large file down into batches of 1000 records.
