RE: Monograph Acquisitions Monthly report June 2002

DATE: July 5, 2002

  1. Students: During June, Saraya and Arlin did a variety of weeding and transfer projects as well as dropping records from AG Canadas database. A total of 1175 records were dropped from AG. This maintenance is important as far as ILL is concerned. 167 items were weeded from Reference, 1552 weeded from Government Documents, 366 from Frost, and 774 from Frost Government Documents. 246 items were transferred from Reference to the stacks. A total of 1904 items were transferred from various areas to storage.
  1. Copy Cataloguing. Monograph Acquisitions staff catalogued a total of 2507 items this month. This figure includes the shelf ready from YBP.
  1. Shelf ready. The project to receive shelf ready books from YBP for all areas of our approval plan except Frost began the second week of this month A total of 1383 shelf ready books were received and were on the shelf within one week of receipt of the books. There were a couple of problems with the first sets of ftpd files but these problems have been manually corrected for the first 2 weeks and have been remedied in the file creation at YBPs end. The current files are now correct.
