RE: Monograph Acquisitions Monthly report November 2002

DATE: Dec.2, 2002

  1. Student: During November, Saraya and Bib Serv. staff did a variety of weeding and transfer projects. 6 items were transferred to Scott and 150 items to storage from Scott Reference. SMIL transferred 14 items to storage.5 items were weeded from Scott Reference, 15 from Government Documents and 144 from Steacie.16 items from the CIIA project were discarded and sent to the National Book Exchange. 20items from CIIA were searched and added to the collection.
  1. Copy Cataloguing. Monograph Acquisitions staff catalogued a total of 2461 items this month. This figure includes the shelf ready from YBP. This month we were short staffed as Susan Stent was on sick leave for the month and Letty Luke began her retirement. Congratulations to the staff who remained and kept up the totals. This month more emphasis was placed on processing orders than on receiving in order to encumber funds as early as possible in the year.
  1. Donna Munshaw-Sepper attended a two day training session to become a Red Cross First Aider. Congratulations, Donna, on successfully completing the course. We are pleased to have a trained person in our area.
  1. Two staff members are left to attend the Health and Safety training offered as a result of the Work Well Audit. Arrangements will be made for them to take the course in December.
