  1. Staff and training. We continue to be short staffed with a vacancy, vacations and

Michele Francis was seconded to Human Resources for the entire month. The effects are evidenced by lower statistics. However, those remaining are doing an excellent job of keeping things moving as best they can. A session of training in Gobi 2 was held for subject specialists with only a few left to be trained. Feedback on the system has been positive overall and it greatly speeds up the ordering process for Monograph Acquisitions staff. Nancy Hall attended training for the new University P-Card Program which has been instituted campus-wide.

  1. Vendors: There seems to be major improvements with Coutts concerning the Canadian literature and French Canadian literature approval plans. Materials have been arriving and we will continue to monitor the situation.
