  1. Student: This month Mary Anne Obwaka weeded 977 Steacie books from storage. This completes the list of Steacie storage weeding. Mary Anne also worked on CIIA items from 013, creating provisionals for 148 pamphlets for the CPC collection.
  1. Output. Shelf ready from YBP, RUSH and some backlog items were catalogued this month for a total of 1786. As well staff processed a total of 3034 items and placed 2200 orders. Thanks everyone for a job well done.
  1. Staff and training. Rosy Go and Alison Ball started Nov 3 in the department. Both have been working very hard with training and becoming familiar with the acquisitions functions of the position. Cataloguing training will commence in January.
  1. Workshops. Nancy Hall attended a pilot workshop on Mental Health in the Workplace . It was a joint offering of the Ministry of Citizenship and Immirgation and the Canadian Mental Health Association in cooperation with the Wellness Centre at York University.
