Sound Recordings Workflow Timelines

The new books list now means that new items are exposed and the lag times in our processing practices are more obvious. In order to ensure that we keep these lags to a minimum we should attempt to adhere to the following steps:

• Newly catalogued items will have the date catalogued switched on Tuesdays by John

• John will take the items to binding on Tuesday morning

  labeled by Wednesday afternoon

• Janice will pick items up on Wednesday afternoon

• Items to be changed to “Audio CD” by Friday afternoon

• SMIL cataloguing priority shelf checked by John on Thursday or Friday

• Janice and Stacy to consult on issues on Thursday or Friday
