April 2003 Monthly Report 25
1.Electronic resources. MARC holdings records for online journals have been created in Yorkline for Academic Press titles. Baywood Publishing has added online journals via Meta Press and these have been put into the database. Meta Press is also now the online provider for Taylor and Francis journals. We currently have the Taylor and Francis journals set up via IngentaSelect, and have no plans or need to change them at this time, but any new additions will be set up via Meta Press.
2. Canadian periodical subscriptions. We continue to work on the outstanding titles from Canadian publishers re the Divine shutdown.
3. BG move planning. I met with Maura and Tom to finalize the list of periodicals to move from Scott to BG and from BG to Scott.
4.Yearend activities. With all the challenges this fiscal year brought, we still managed another successful yearend and fiscal rollover.
5. Staffing. Rosy Go returns to us on May 1st after 4 months in the Circulation Dept. During her absence, Sandra Smith processed the annuals on Yorkline and the Kardex Assistants took on processing invoices online. We had a student working 2 hours a day to help with collection of issues from the Reading Room for binding, sorting the mail, and other gopher tasks. Everyone worked very hard to make sure that the work got done and I want to express my thanks to each one for the cooperative spirit and willingness to pitch in shown by all. We will all be glad to get back to normal and catch up on some tasks that we had to let slide somewhat in order to concentrate on the priorities.
