Keyboard Shortcuts in Windows
Description
This document contains some keyboard shorcuts that you can use for
Windows applications
Take Control Using the CTRL key
- CTRL + A : Selects ALL the items in the active
window (TIP: great for selecting all of the junk messages in your YSPAM
folder for deleting them in one fell swoop - CTRL + B : BOLDS text
- CTRL + C : COPIES text or files
- CTRL + S : SAVES your work
- CTRL + V : PASTES texts or files
- CTRL + X : CUTS text or files
- CTRL + Y : REDO
- CTRL + Z : UNDO
- CTRL + HOME key : takes you to the top of the screen
- CTRL + END key : takes you to the bottom of the screen
There are always Alternatives using the ALT key
- ALT + SPACE BAR : displays the system menu for the active window
- ALT + TAB : cycles through all open applications on your desktop
- ALT + underlined letter in a drop down menu : opens the menu
There is Power in the Windows Logo
key
- WINDOWS LOGO key : activates START menu
- WINDOWS LOGO key + C : opens CONTROL PANEL
- WINDOWS LOGO key + D : minimizes all open applications to take you
right down to the desk top - WINDOWS LOGO key + E : opens WINDOWS Explorer (file
manager) - WINDOWS LOGO key + F : opens FIND FILES or FOLDERS
application - WINDOWS LOGO key + M : minimizes all open applications to take
you right down to the desk top - WINDOWS LOGO key + R : opens the RUN dialog box
