Terms of Reference
Discuss and adopt cataloguing rules and procedures. Ensure integrity of application between the two processing units. Monitor new technologies and developments in cataloguing and metadata. Coordinate activities with Library Computing, public services, acquisitions, etc. As necessary, take issues to appropriate Committees for consultation and/or information.
Review new releases and other SIRSI changes to determine and implement database policy and workflow changes as well as training requirements as required and revision of documentation.
Determine training needs; and to develop appropriate training and staff development programs in cataloguing, metadata.

Cataloguing Committee Notes
The notesof all the Cataloguing Committee meetings are in Microsoft Word format and are available on KAPPA. They are located in the Cataloguing Committee directory which is in the Public directory and then in the Permanent subdirectory on KAPPA. The minutes are stored in subdirectories of the Cataloguing Committe directory and arranged by year beginning with 1997.
