All registered York University students who have obtained their valid Yu-Cards may borrow from the libraries if they have no accumulated fines. Books may be borrowed for 2 weeks with the possibility of renewals. The library card must be presented each time a book is borrowed, and it is not transferable. Each student is responsible for items charged to his/her card. Periodicals, rare books or reference materials may not be borrowed but some may be transferred between campuses for the purpose of consultation.
