Attend Library Workshops

  • Scott Library Research Workshops (for Humanities and Social Sciences based disciplines)
Do you feel like finding the right information is a matter of luck? Do you ever wander through the library or click through the web and think there must be a better way? You are sure the information is out there but you just can not seem to get your hands on it? Research can be tough. The good news is that a little preparation can go a long way. Research is a skill that can be learned and it is our goal to teach you how to do it. Spend an hour and a half with us now, and save yourself hours of frustration later. And watch your grades improve in the process!
  • Steacie Science and Engineering Library Workshops
The ability to locate, evaluate and use information is fundamental to the Pure and Applied Science Programs that are supported by the Steacie Library. The subject Librarians and Reference Staff at Steacie offer workshops from general library orientation to subject specific hands-on instruction geared to the information needs of students, faculty and staff.
  • Peter F. Bronfman Business Library
The Bronfman Business Library provides online guides on specific topics rather than drop-in workshops. To access these guides go to Help with Research and select those that will meet your research needs, e.g. company, industry, etc.
  • Frost Library Workshops
  • Law Library Workshops
The Osgoode Law Library provides a list of online topical legal research guides. During the school year, the Law Library also offers some specialized workshops mainly for law students and registration is required.
