It’s always been a challenge to provide enough computers for students. We are short on study seating of all kinds (computers and non-computer seats too). We hope the work on the 2nd floor will help address the campus shortage of library seating and computer workstations. Phase 2 of the Learning Commons renovation (for which we are currently fundraising), should also help by providing additional computer workstations.

Any student will tell you that when exams/papers come around, there are not enough computers. This issue has been around before construction started.

You are absolutely right. Right now we are a bit short on computers in the Scott Library because of the construction. When the construction is complete (mid-October) we’ll be installing about 100 computers (about 50 in the Collaboratory, 40 in the Hub and 16 in the Salon. I hope that helps.
