Cool Tools for Scholars Brown Bag Lunch

John Dupuis gave a great brown bag lunch on the topic of “Cool tools for scholars” on November 8th. He highlighted a number of useful tools like Google docs, Zotero and social bookmarking site Connotea. Check out SciVee, it’s like YouTube for science-types!

John used Google docs’ presentation application to put his presentation online so you can both view his presentation and experience one of the cool tools he talked about.

The next brown bag lunch takes place Wednesday, November 14th. The Information Literacy Committee is hosting a talk on Curriculum Integration. Ilo and Mark will lead the discussion.

  1. This was a great presentation, much food for thought and useful tools. I am particularly happy with the Zotero app which should make collecting research info, especially from library catalogues, much easier.
