Things found in Books

Here’s a fun story from AbeBooks. Has anyone in YUL found anything in our stacks?? In our gifts??

Do tell…

  1. Great article. We could also make a fun display because it is true, there is a whole history in what I find left in books: lottery tickets from Olympic year, advertisements from many years back, airline schedules from Air Canada (1967!) with pricing for popular flights, photos, many, many lecture notes by either the professor or by the student who gave us the book, postcards, airline tickets galore (many donors must read on planes); but the best of all was a very personal Christmas greeting from Lester Pearson to Roland Michener (which starts off with: “From the PM to the GG”) which we found in one of the books donated by the Micheners.
