Notice of upcoming one day conference – VSAO annual conference at Glendon Campus on Saturday 28th April 2012

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to alert you that the annual all day Spring Conference of the Victorian Studies Association of Ontario is fast approaching and will be held on Saturday the 28th April 2012 at Glendon Campus.

This title for this year’s conference is “Victorian Thresholds: Between Culture and Anthropology” and will showcase a variety of scholars from Brock University, University of Buffalo, Duke University,  University of Toronto and the  University of Windsor.

The day’s talks will include presentations on the famous novella by Robert Louis Stevenson The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Franics Galton’s Narrative of an Explorer in Tropical South Africa, Adam Bede by George Eliot, Charles Darwin’s anthropological theories and Dinah Craik’s  female bildungsroman Olive.
