Genny Jon has accepted the position of Reference Assistant in Steacie Science and Engineering Library effective April 21, 2014 on a 6 month contract. Genny has a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry both from McMaster University. Genny has interned for OCUL AskON, is an editor for the Multicultural History Society of Ontario and has additional background education in marketing.
Jacqueline Kreller-Vanderkooy has accepted a continuing appointment at Steacie Science and Engineering Library effective May 20, 2014. Jacqueline’s responsibilities will include teaching, reference, collections and liaison for the physical sciences. She has an MLIS from the University of Western Ontario and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences/Hydrology from the University of Waterloo. Currently Jacqueline is working as Science Librarian at Wilfrid Laurier University Library. During her MLIS program, she enjoyed a coop placement in the Data Resource Centre at the University of Guelph. Her areas of research interest are open access, scholarly communications in the physical sciences and the history and philosophy of science.
