Just in time for Summer… Scott Library’s Leisure Reading Collection

For your reading pleasure …
In response to requests from our students and a renewed interest in recreational reading in academic libraries, Scott Research & Collections has been piloting a “Leisure Reading Collection” for the past few terms. The collection is physically located in the Learning Commons Hub on the 2nd floor, in the built-in shelves of the pods/booths. There are plans to possibly move and expand this collection in the future. The books now have a new location code and are identified with a sticker (“Suggest Reading”) above the call number label.

New Fiction

This rotating selection of popular reading materials is updated frequently. Current categories include: New Fiction, CanLit (Canadian Literature), Award Winners, Bestsellers and Staff Picks. Leisure Reading titles are selected from various book lists, staff (and student) suggestions and trends in popular culture. Check out our LibGuide for more info. and a listing of current titles: http://researchguides.library.yorku.ca/leisurereading
