March 3rd and 4th Strategic Planning recap

On behalf of the Strategic Planning Steering Group, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who came out to the World Cafe session on Feb 26th, and to the All Staff sessions with DJA consultants on March 3rd and 4th. We had close to 90 people attend the opening all staff session on the morning of March 3rd and approximately 40 people participated in each breakout session.

The Steering Group was truly heartened by the level of interest and engagement with these events, and with the strategic planning process as a whole. We will be working over the next week or two to consolidate and disseminate the feedback we heard in your small group discussions. This includes both your reactions to the material presented in the environmental scan reports, and the documentation from your small group discussions on shared organizational values. We will endeavour to make all of this feedback available in a digestible form on the strategic planning staff page, and will let you know what that material is ready. A copy of the slide deck from March 3rd, a list of resources that were used in preparing the environmental scans, and the full reports from each of the deep dive and institutional scans will also be available on this page.

As DeEtta and Raynna reminded us, we are now beginning to enter the convergent phase of the strategic planning process. This is one in which we begin the transition from information sharing and idea generation to a consideration of our local context, and begin to generate proposals that reflect this local context. Our next meeting is March 18th, and we will continue to update you as our work progresses.
