Endowed chairs
- $2 Million will fund a Tenure Stream Chair within York University Libraries. Librarians play a key role in student learning and faculty research. An endowed library chair will increase their impact on teaching, learning and research at York University.
- $1.5 Million can create an endowment for an Online Librarian. This position will attract a succession of exceptional librarians to York University where they may explore, research, develop and assess the expanding range of online library activities and developments. The endowment will provide support for up to eighteen months.
- $1 Million will create a Minority Librarian Internship which will attract underrepresented groups to a challenging and rewarding career in academic libraries. Successful candidates will receive hands-on experience in librarianship and guidance in the development of a research agenda.
