The Network of Scientific Journals of Latin America and the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal – Redalyc - is a project promoted by the Autonomous University of Mexico State (UAEM) with the objective of contributing to the dissemination of scientific activity in Latin America.
Redalyc provides access to freely available scientific periodicals, functioning as a meeting point for those interested in reconstructing scientific knowledge by and about Latin America. The web site was formally opened to the public in October of 2002, by researchers and publishers concerned about the poor visibility of research results generated in and about the region.
