Message from the University Librarian: User Fees at U of T

Please be aware that, the University of Toronto is implementing new user fees effective October 1, 2010.

Borrowing from U of T Libraries:

  • The general borrowers fee will be increased from $200 per year to $250 per year.

Access to Robarts Library stacks

  • A fee will be charged for access to Robarts Library stacks.
  • The fee for faculty and staff is $50 per year.
  • The fee for York graduate students is $20 per year.  This fee is being partially subsidized by York University (see below).

A Note on the Special Arrangements for York’s Graduate Students

  • The Robarts stack access fee for non-U of T graduate students is normally $50 per year.  York University has negotiated a reduced rate of $40.   York University will be subsidizing $20 of this annual fee for graduate students only, effectively reducing this fee to $20.

More detailed information can be found at the University of Toronto Library web site
