1. Marsha Hall continues to work in Monograph Acquisitions for 12 hours per week during term. During September she has proces sed 16 missing items from BG, as well as 602 missing items from Steacie. BG staff weeded 2271 items. Several boxes of new materials from CIIA were received and Marsha will process these during the next few weeks. Monograph Acquisitions staff, joined by R ita Carcasole of Bibliographic Services, are processing drops from A-G Canada, generated from the work Marsha has been doing.
2. Nancy Hall met with Victor Ginsberg of Bookhouse in Michigan to discuss their services, discounts and website.
3. Copy Ca taloguing. In August, Myrtle, Donna, Michele, Letty, Susan and John attended training sessions on copy cataloguing. This month they began cataloguing week about. All functions of the department continue although somewhat more slowly. The new cataloguers ca talogued a total of 635 items and from all reports are doing very well. Doug Adams gave a morning session to these staff members on Validator for authority work. Many thanks to Daphne Clunies, Eirene Landon, and Mary Slinn who continue to revise the work and to Doug Adams for his session.
