DATE: Feb 6, 2003

  1. Student: During January, Saraya and Rita did a variety of weeding and transfer projects. 576 items were weeded from Frost, 23 from Scott Gov. Docs., and 584 from Hs. There were also 280 items from Steacie Reference transferred to storage. There were 203 items from the Gov. Doc. Missing list and 18 from their lost list. Sarayas hours were increased starting this month to help deal with the increasing volume of work due to special projects associated with the various upcoming moves in the library system.
  1. Copy Cataloguing. Efforts this month were concentrated on ordering and processing to ensure a timely expenditure of the budget. Only shelf ready from YBP and RUSH items were catalogued this month for a total of 2157. As well staff processed a total of 5011 items and placed 3161 orders. Thanks everyone for a job well done.
  1. Our first official office health and safety inspection was carried out using the new forms. Some adjustments have been made to the form and inspections will be carried out monthly jointly by Linda Gamble and a YUSA staff member.
