  • There is also a free online tool called the Free DOI Lookup which can be used to locate DOIs. It is important to note that not all articles have DOIs
  • To convert a DOI to a Web address, add the following URL to the DOI: http://dx.doi.org/
  • Another URL to locate DOI: http://www.crossref.org/SimpleTextQuery/
  • After locating the DOI add it at the end of the following URL: http://ezproxy.library.yorku.ca/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/
