Equipment Loans

How borrowing works

  1. Become a member by taking our orientation course. Users must follow our booking policy and safer space policy.
  2. Use the Book buttons to borrow equipment for up to 7 calendar days.
  3. Wait for email that confirms your booking (5 min).
  4. Bring your valid YU-card to us on the first day of the loan period.
  5. Meet staff who examine the reserved equipment with you (15 min).
  6. Create with curiosity and responsibility!
  7. Bring the equipment yourself during operating hours by the due date.
  8. Meet staff who examine the returned equipment with you (15 min).

Canon EOS M50 / EOS M50 Mark II

Mirrorless Digital Camera

This compact camera can be used to capture still photos or video at resolutions up to 4K (3840 x 2160). It can be used on its own or in combination with tripods, microphones, or lighting kits. The M50 Mark II model has built-in software improvements over the original M50 model that better suit content-creation for social media.

Canon EOS R50

The EOS R50 camera makes photography fun,simple, and convenient with intuitive photo functions that capture beautiful images automatically, just as you imagine them. These headsets make virtual reality portable with their all-in-one solution including six degrees of freedom, motion-detecting hand controls, and integrated audio. With the Link software, they can be tethered to high-end PCs to experience a full range of PCVR applications. See this brief intro video.

  1. Meta Quest 3 VR headset
  2. Headset spacer for eyeglass-wearers, already installed
  3. Two (2) Quest 3 Touch Plus controllers
  4. Two (2) AA batteries, 2-3 hour lifespan (rechargeable Ni-MH)
  5. Quest 2 charger (2.5 hour charge time) consisting of:
    1. Power adapter (10 W, USB-C port)
    2. Charging cable (3 ft, USB-C to USB-C)
  6. Carrying case
  1. Meta account for setup
  2. Smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) for setup
  3. Wi-Fi connection for setup

This tablet can be used for digital drawing and photo-editing when connected to a compatible computer. This model is Bluetooth-capable, but it can be used while connected by USB cable. Internet connection is required to download necessary a software driver.
