Tutorials, Workshops & Teaching Support - Bronfman Business Library

- Course Reserves
  Print and electronic materials that instructors have designated as required reading for students can be placed on reserve in the library in accordance with copyright regulations.
- Harvard Business Review Restrictions: Due to license restrictions which apply to Harvard Business Review (HBR) articles, it is not possible for the library to provide direct links to e-reserves for HBR articles. More information is available here (https://www.library.yorku.ca/web/bbl/collections/harvard-business-review/), as well as instructions on how to search for HBR articles which faculty can share with students.
- Business and Information Literacy
  A specific set of specialized skills and competencies are relevant for the information literate individual in a business context. Instruction and consultation are available from librarians in the development of these skills.

- 601 Research Support
  The Bronfman Business Library conducts research consultations in each semester to support 601 groups with locating secondary research as they embark on Phase 2 of their Strategy Field Study.

- Course Research Guides
  These are online guides tailored to help students develop business research skills related to the learning objectives and research assignments of specific business courses or business programs (e.g. program orientations). These tailored guides include tips on relevant research strategies and links and information about key resources.

- Linking to Library E-Resources for Business
  Electronic resources, such as books, articles and streaming videos, that are licensed by York University Libraries can usually be linked to within Library Management Systems (LMS) or course websites. This guide contains instructions for creating links to the library's e-resources including locating e-resources, checking license terms of use, identifying permalinks and making links accessible for off-campus use.

- Business Videos & Streaming Media Collections
  This guide provides descriptions and tips on searching our streaming media collections, as well as instructions on searching for videos on business topics using the library catalogue.

- Citation Management - Zotero
  Zotero is free open-source software developed at the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History & New Media at George Mason University and the Corporation for Digital Scholarship. Zotero allows researchers to save, manage and cite research resources from library catalogues, research databases and web sites.

- Understanding Call Numbers
  If you want to find books, journals, and other items in the library you have to understand how to read call numbers so you can successfully find items on the shelves. Here is a quick tutorial.
