We know that times, right now, they are <a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-i7OJxFIpsWQ\/TbIVABUpJxI\/AAAAAAAAABY\/2R-F0L4hBbQ\/s1600\/stress-zebrastripes1.gif\" target=\"_blank\">stressful<\/a>. It's exam season. It's to be expected.You're finishing up papers, studying your metaphorical brains out for exams, and that's probably all amongst working, commuting, family life, and generally just still trying to have a little bit of fun!<\/p>\n<p>But, have you seen our little squeezy friends at the Reference Desk in Bronfman?<\/p>\n<p>These were brought to us one evening secretly by some kind of <a href=\"http:\/\/images.wikia.com\/smurfs\/images\/5\/51\/Dance_Of_100_Smurfs.gif\" target=\"_blank\">magical elves<\/a>, obviously, because one moment we were working away helping some students with research questions and borrowing books and they were suddenly there!<\/p>\n<p>I'm kidding, but it's true that we weren't sure at first where they came from. It turns out they were brought to us by the folks over at <a title=\"Mental Health at York University\" href=\"http:\/\/mentalhealth.info.yorku.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mental Health at York University<\/a>. They have noted on their website that a recent study found that \"<strong>64% of current York U students find academic work traumatic or stressful<\/strong>.\"<a href=\"http:\/\/mentalhealth.info.yorku.ca\/lets-talk-day-february-12-2013-2\/\" target=\"_blank\"><sup>1 <\/sup><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>We've<\/em> found (anecdotally, of course) that these two little friends at the desk have been helpful friends to some of you! Some students have come and borrowed one for a squeeze during some study time, and then promptly returned it back to us when they were finished up! And, we... well, we just think this is <a href=\"http:\/\/fc08.deviantart.net\/fs70\/f\/2010\/052\/c\/3\/FRIENDS_gif_animation_14_by_NINO16.gif\" target=\"_blank\">excellent<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>So, if it's not just easy peasy, try these little ones at the desk. Or you can always try <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.ca\/search?q=basset+hounds+running&amp;client=firefox-a&amp;hs=MUD&amp;rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&amp;tbm=isch&amp;tbo=u&amp;source=univ&amp;sa=X&amp;ei=r3dsUarfDoT5ygHe8YHgCg&amp;ved=0CEMQsAQ&amp;biw=1024&amp;bih=583\" target=\"_blank\">googling 'basset hounds running'<\/a> - that's always good for a light-hearted chuckle. After a few minutes there, you should be well prepped to get back to the books.<\/p>\n<p>Take care!
