A number of these resources can help you create stronger LinkedIn profiles, cover letters, and resumes, which in turn should help you stand out from other candidates when you\u2019re applying for jobs, internships, and summer co-ops. Here is a sampling of just a few of the books in our new Career Resources display:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.yorku.ca\/find\/Record\/3316872\" target=\"_blank\">How to build the ultimate LinkedIn profile in under an hour<\/a> by Andrew Macarthy<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 40px\">This book will teach you to how to create your LinkedIn profile quickly and make sure it has all of the relevant sections to catch an employer\u2019s attention.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.yorku.ca\/find\/Record\/3316873\" target=\"_blank\">Guerrilla marketing for job hunters 3.0<\/a> by Jay Conrad Levinson and David E. Perry<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 40px\">Co-authored by Jay Conrad Levinson, the author who brought the world, <em>Guerrilla Marketing, <\/em>this book focuses on approaching job-hunting through the lens of guerrilla marketing techniques. You\u2019ll learn about new and interesting ways to meet hiring managers, how to write more effective cover letters and resumes, and how to research potential employers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.yorku.ca\/find\/Record\/3316880\" target=\"_blank\">Branding pays: The five-step system to reinvent your personal brand<\/a> by Karen Kang<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 40px\">This book uses a five-stage process in order to help you develop a stronger personal brand. By reading this book, you\u2019ll learn how to craft a more effective elevator speech, develop a brand action plan, and use social media to your advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.yorku.ca\/find\/Search\/Results?lookfor=vault+career+guide&amp;type=AllFields&amp;filter%5B%5D=location_str_mv%3A%22Peter+F.+Bronfman+Business+Library%22\" target=\"_blank\">Various Vault Career Guides at the Bronfman Library<\/a> (in the Bronfman Library's Reference Collection)<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 40px\">Vault career guides are a great source of information about various industries. The Bronfman Library recently purchased a number of guides on case interviews, investment management, investment banking, and internships. Make sure to check out all of these guides for tips and tricks about various career paths!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To find our display of Career Research resources, go to the Bronfman Library (2<sup>nd<\/sup> floor of the Schulich Building) and head over to the fireplace lounge. You\u2019ll find the display by the newspaper shelves.<\/p>\n<p>While the Bronfman Library is a great resource for print career resources, we also recommend checking out our online\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/researchguides.library.yorku.ca\/content.php?pid=317538&amp;sid=2598806\" target=\"_blank\">Career Research Resources guide<\/a> and our <a href=\"http:\/\/researchguides.library.yorku.ca\/careerbusiness\" target=\"_blank\">Career Research for Business Students Guide<\/a>. These resources will show you how to use some of the library\u2019s databases to do career research.<\/p>\n<p>There are also a few additional places on campus you should check out for career advice. <a href=\"http:\/\/careers.yorku.ca\/online-system\/\" target=\"_blank\">York University\u2019s Career Centre<\/a> offers useful workshops on career exploration, job search strategies, and professional etiquette. They also hold employer recruitment sessions. Additionally, if you\u2019re a Schulich student, you\u2019ll want to check out the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.schulich.yorku.ca\/careerportal\" target=\"_blank\">Schulich School of Business\u2019 Career Development Centre<\/a>.
