{"id":64,"date":"2017-03-04T14:33:43","date_gmt":"2017-03-04T18:33:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.library.yorku.ca\/web\/open\/?page_id=64"},"modified":"2019-09-13T19:12:36","modified_gmt":"2019-09-13T23:12:36","slug":"governance","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.library.yorku.ca\/web\/open\/governance\/","title":{"rendered":"Governance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.yorku.ca\/web\/open\/governance\/terms\/\">Open Access and Open Data Steering Committee<\/a> will engage in broad stakeholder discussions to advance the following goals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To coordinate campus-wide education on open access and data management particularly in light of Tri-Agency Open Access Policy requirements and the Tri-agency Statement of Principles on Digital Data Management.<\/li>\n<li>To articulate a framework and coordinated service models that support faculty with these requirements.<\/li>\n<li>To create a wider forum for discussion and consideration on changes to the system of scholarship, sustainability of current economic models of scholarship, access to publicly funded research, issues surrounding authors rights in the digital age, and new scholarly distribution systems and other connected open movements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.library.yorku.ca\/web\/open\/governance\/oawg\/\">Open Access Policy and Implementation Working Group<\/a> supports the work of the Open Access &amp; Open Data Steering Committee.
