As announced in late October (see announcement), the Libraries are working with 13 other Ontario universities to implement a new system to manage library operations, including a new and modern interface to provide resource discovery and access for the York University community. The new system is now scheduled to go live early the week of December 16th.
As part of this transition, a number of things will change that may affect your interactions with library resources and services. Many of these changes are outlined in the Omni FAQ, including information about new extended loan periods for students, faculty, and staff.
If you have saved items in a List in the current catalogue and would like to maintain a record of these items or move them into your new Omni account, you need to take action before December 16, 2019. Instructions are available here.
