Watch for these numbers when they appear in copy and re-class as described below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>F 1001-1145.2<\/strong><br>Do NOT use LC numbers F 1001-1145.2 for Canadian history CHANGE to the appropriate number in FC. Do not just change the F to an FC in the call number. Please consult the FC schedule to find the appropriate number. These schedules are quite different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>JX<\/strong><br>Do NOT use LC numbers in JX. JX has been replaced by subclasses JZ (International relations) and KZ (International Law) reclass materials in JZ or KZ as appropriate. Please refer to the procedures document: Changes to classification subclass JX<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>PR 9180-9199.3<\/strong><br>Do NOT use LC numbers PR 9180-9199.3 for Canadian literature this material should be classed in PS8001+ (e.g. Margaret Atwood. LC = PR 9199.3.A8 --- YORK = PS 8501.T36 ---)<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, there are a few numbers in PS 8000 for names that begin with M that we do not use. They are listed here.<br>    Do not use PS 8426 -- USE PS 8425<br>    Do not use PS 8476 -- USE PS 8475<br>    Do not use PS 8526 -- USE PS 8525<br>    Do not use PS 8576 -- USE PS 8575<br>    Do not use PS 8626 -- USE PS 8625<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you are shelf-listing in the database and see one of these numbers you will also see a shadowed bibliographic record in the database that will direct you to the correct call number. It contains the \u201cwrong\u201d call number; the title, as you can see, is DO NOT USE, and in the note field of the record you will see the call number you should use.<br><br><strong>PQ 3900-3919.3<\/strong><br>Do NOT use LC numbers PQ 3900-3919.3 for French-Canadian authors this material should be classed in PS 9000+ in the number corresponding to the English author number in PS 8000 (e.g. PS 8575 becomes PS 9575).<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, there are a few numbers in PS 9000 for names that begin with M that we do not use.
