York University\u2019s new UAP is a rallying call for students, faculty and staff to bring their expertise from across disciplines to work together to build new tools and develop strategies and solutions to global challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How We're Making a Difference<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In alignment with the UAP, embedded in York University Libraries' (YUL) <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Strategic Plan 2021-2026<\/span> is a commitment to rise to the University-wide challenge to contribute to UN SDGs. As a catalyst for the creation, dissemination, and democratization of knowledge, cultivating a community that prepares students and researchers to make positive change in a global environment, YUL plays a critical role in supporting institution-wide work to contribute to SDGs, as well as in mobilizing our unique expertise to increase the visibility of this transformational work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">YUL Strategic Plan 2021-2026 Goal:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Identify, prioritize, and collaborate with key partners to develop and engage with York\u2019s evolving SDG activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop a framework for creating sustainable interdisciplinary partnerships that support SDG goals and initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with faculty to enhance the visibility and impact of research emerging from SDG initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drawing upon library expertise, identify and develop library-led curriculum integration opportunities that align with SDGs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flow enormous human potential. This often leads to financial and social discrimination. In order for nations to flourish, equality and prosperity must be available to everyone \u2013 regardless of gender, race, religious beliefs or economic status.
