February 26, 2026<\/em> - Construction Has Begun!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Construction has officially begun on the new Scott classroom project!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This work\u2014led by our construction partners at Torque<\/strong>\u2014will continue over the next few months, with completion expected by May 2026<\/strong>. This marks an exciting step forward in expanding and enhancing our instructional spaces.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

As with any construction activity, there will be times when the work becomes louder or more disruptive than what adjacent areas typically experience. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these periods and will keep you updated on our website as these periods arrive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reminder: this area is now an active construction zone<\/strong>. For everyone\u2019s safety, please be mindful around that area and do not enter the space until the project is complete and the area is cleared for use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We look forward to sharing more updates as the project progresses and can\u2019t wait to see this new space take shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

February 2, 2026<\/em> - The Map Collection Space Is Now Open!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are thrilled to share that our newly refreshed Map Collection Space (Room 125)<\/strong> is now open to the York University Library community. This thoughtfully redesigned area offers more than 50 Quiet Zone seats<\/strong>, providing an inviting and comfortable environment for focused study and research, alongside full access to all Map Collection amenities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We encourage you to stop by, explore the space, and make it part of your study or research routine. Be sure to check back regularly for updates as we prepare for a grand reopening celebration this spring<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
