Studios & Editing Stations

How bookings work

1. Become a member – complete our orientation course and follow our booking and safer space policies. Groups are welcome, but consider space limits and nearby workspaces. Non-booking group members must sign in with staff.
2. Book a space – use the Book buttons to reserve studios and workstations (up to 3 hours), VR rooms (up to 2 hours) or the Gaming lab (up to 1.5 hours).
3. Wait for confirmation – You’ll receive an approval or decline email within one business day.
4. Check in – If your booking is approved, bring your valid YU-card to the Making & Media Creation Lab (Scott Library, Room 207) or Markham Campus Library Circulation Desk.
5. Meet staff – They’ll guide you to your booked space. Check in within 30 minutes of your scheduled start.
6. Guests – Must sign in and stay with the booking patron at all times.
7. First-time visitors – Complete a short orientation during your booking.
8. Create with curiosity and responsibility!
