FAQ Ithaka S+R Local Faculty Survey

*What is the Ithaka S+R Local Faculty Survey?

The Ithaka S+R Local Faculty Survey studies of the impact of digital technologies on research, teaching and publishing.

How long will the survey run?

The survey will run from October 14 to November 1, 2014.

How long does the survey take to complete?

It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. If you leave the survey (such as closing your web browser) before completing it, you might be able to return to the survey at the point where you left off if you use the same computer. However this function will not work at public work stations and web browsers that do not cache web browsing history and cookies.

How will the survey data be used?

Your anonymous responses will become part of a national data set assembled by Ithaka S+R. TAt York, we will be able to look at campus trends. The data will help us make evidence-based decisions about the kinds of services and resources the we provide to faculty.

Why is the Library surveying faculty?

As The Libraries head into a year of strategic planning, the survey results will inform our strategies for strengthening faculty services and partnerships with faculty. It will also benchmark York faculty’s perceptions and habits with national data.
