York University Libraries evolved over a number of years since the opening of York University.

  • 1963 Leslie Frost Library is dedicated
  • 1965 (Fall) Steacie Science and Engineering Library opens
  • 1971 (October 31) W.P. Scott Library is dedicated
  • 2003 (September 2) Peter F. Bronfman Business Library opens
  • 2021 Library Research Commons at the new Markham campus opens

On July 1, 2017, the University Librarian position became Dean of Libraries
